CrossCheck, a national compliance, internal audit, and risk consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Pete Ferguson has joined the company as a director to support the continued growth of its regulatory compliance, internal audit, and fair lending practices. In this role, Pete will partner with financial institutions, fintech companies, and mortgage lenders to help them navigate evolving compliance requirements and operational priorities.
Pete brings extensive experience in regulatory compliance, internal audit, risk management, and financial crimes mitigation. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with financial institutions across all three lines of defense to strengthen governance frameworks, enhance compliance programs, address regulatory findings, and implement practical solutions that support both operational and strategic objectives.

Prior to joining CrossCheck, Pete began his career in public accounting with RSM US LLP and most recently served as a director in Jefferson Wells’ financial services practice, where he supported engagement scoping, fulfillment, and delivery oversight across the firm’s risk and compliance services. Pete is active in several compliance industry associations and serves as a board member and treasurer of the Chicagoland Compliance Association. His technical background and industry expertise bring a unique perspective as CrossCheck continues to expand its capabilities and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
