Wendy is a highly qualified risk management professional with over 20 years of expertise. She is committed to building beneficial relationships with clients and stakeholders by providing value through focusing on risks with the greatest impact, presenting practical recommendations, and identifying the most efficient use of existing resources. Her internal audit background coupled with her compliance knowledge has been instrumental in helping clients understand the root cause of issues and in developing process and control improvements.
Prior to joining CrossCheck, Wendy was the internal audit manager for the Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. Her banking experience includes roles at banks ranging in assets from $1B to over $350B in deposits. She was a senior project manager for MidSouth Bank, and a senior audit project manager and senior internal auditor for U.S. Bank with a focus on BSA/AML/OFAC. Other internal audit banking roles include serving as an internal audit supervisor for residential credit products at EverBank and director of internal audit at The Savannah Bancorp. Wendy began her career at Hancock Askew &Co., LLP as an audit manager.
Wendy has presented for the Mortgage Bankers Association on the topic of Effective Internal Audit Function: Beyond the Basics. She was also a contributing author to the 32nd edition of the American Bankers Association Reference Guide to Regulatory Compliance.
