Mike is a senior financial services executive with more than 45 years of operations, financial, and technology experience. For the last 25 years, he has focused specifically on the mortgage industry, covering conforming and subprime markets, securitization, compliance, and fraud. He has also served as an expert witness in mortgage-backed securities, repurchase, and servicing litigation cases.

Prior to co-founding CrossCheck, Mike helped launch The Prieston Group, which provides fraud prevention and indemnification services to the mortgage industry. Previously, he spent 16 years with Household International (now HSBC), where he served in several executive roles, including national sales director of the correspondent mortgage business and chief financial officer of the $10 billion consumer finance business, Household Finance.

Mike has been actively involved in industry trade associations. He currently serves on the Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and the Risk Committee of the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association (IMBA). In the past, he has served on the board and the executive committee of the National Home Equity Mortgage Association, the Nonconforming Credit Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association, and the Production Committee of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association (WMBA).
